Drugs are any substances that when inhaled, smoked, consumed or absorbed it has either physical or psychological effect in our body. There are legal and illegal types of drugs. Examples of legal drugs are alcohol, caffeine and tobacco and should be consumed wisely. Examples of illegal drugs are cocaine, cannabis, ecstasy, heroine and many more. when consumed they are dangerous and can destroy lives. Drugs affect the way we think , our behavior and our moods. Psychoactive drugs can be divided into four categories. People use drugs because of the following reasons.

Public relation practitioners can use social media platforms to campaign and reach out to the public using the #DrugsDestroyLives campaign. Drug addiction is mostly common in youth and majority of them are on on various social media.

Public Relation Practitioners can use the campaign #DrugsDestroyLives to educate people on how drug can lead to social and emotional challenges, and how it can have a negative effect on friends and family.

There are so many youths out there who are addicted to drugs, Public relation practitioners can use this campaign to promote organisations that offer help to people who are addicted to drug or people who have had one problem or the other due to the abuse of drugs. Positive feedback can lead to the success of the campaign , where people will be educated, and lives will be touched.
        PUBLIC RELATION CHALLENGES FOR #DRUGSDESTROYLIVES CAMPAIGN

Public relation practitioners can have challenges when reaching out to the public. There are some people who are not ready to change because drug taking has become part of their lives, and to create a good image for the campaign using social media platform can be tiring when there are loads of questions to respond to.

Finance can also be a challenge for a public relation practitioner, to start a campaign you need fund, and to get the fund you need sponsors, and getting a sponsor can be challenging sometimes.

                RECOMMENDATIONS TO HAVE A SUCCESSFUL CAMPAIGN
I will recommend public relations practitioners to be creative with their pamphlets, banners, etc during the campaign so as to entice the audience, and the campaign must be fun, educative and not boring, and more campaign should be done to make people know about the danger and the side effects of drug abuse.

      That's a good idea , we must also consider that no everyone watches new on the TV, the best way is the social media , but TV is also an option.

    Government should ban the importing and the growing of their plants.ie hemps..people also.should be englighten more about the negative effects of this on their body system

    Drugs are very dangerous, and using the #DrugsDestroyLives is very much helpful. It might not do any change fast but I do believe it is doing that little change one step at a time.

    I feel like at this point a lot of people know that abusing drugs is really bad for them. We just have to help them stop getting addicted because it may also be that they cannot stop using drugs

    More campaigns and rehab facilities would help with trying to help people with a drug addiction. This will decrease drug users and also to help with poverty, mental health and crime because those are the problems that lead to drug abuse
